What is the focus of America's Most Responsible Companies 2023 ranking?
The ranking focuses on a holistic view of corporate responsibility, considering all three pillars of ESG: environment, social, and corporate governance. It evaluates companies based on quantitative data from over 30 key performance indicators and the CSR reputation derived from a survey of 13,000 U.S. residents.
How were the companies selected for the ranking?
The selection process involved analyzing the top 2000 public companies by revenue, along with banks and insurance companies with total assets exceeding $50 billion. Companies were evaluated based on independent journalistic criteria set by Newsweek and Statista.
What does the ranking reflect?
The ranking reflects official ESG data from 2020 or 2021, and it should not be used as the sole source of information for future decisions. It is based on publicly available data and survey responses collected before November 3, 2022, and is continually updated as new information becomes available.
